About The Position

The Principal Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design and layout of power plant sites, microgrids, and power distribution systems, focusing on medium and low voltage systems, switchgear, and motor control centers. The role involves computer modeling and analysis of electrical systems, and designing schematic and wiring diagrams. The engineer will prepare specifications for equipment and systems, write reports, determine code requirements, and perform and review design computations. A key aspect of the position includes managing design budgets and schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • PE licensure is required in the state where you reside.
  • Over 10 years of relevant electrical design experience.
  • Proficiency with ETAP, SKM, or similar electrical modeling software.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with traditional power generation, particularly fossil fuel generation.
  • Experience working on low voltage projects (60kV or below).
  • Preferred experience with municipalities or public power entities.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving client, project, and industry needs.

Responsibilities
