About The Position

Join a team whose impact stretches across the world — and beyond. You will play a critical role in protecting people and property by enabling next-generation Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems used by Air Navigation Service Providers across the U.S. and globally. As a Principal Electrical Engineer on our Connected Aviation Solutions (CAS) Hardware & Infrastructure team, you will apply classic design fundamentals, modern electronics expertise, and hands-on lab skills to deliver highly reliable, mission-critical systems. If you are motivated by complex problem solving, technical leadership, and real-world impact, this role offers the opportunity to shape the future of air traffic automation. What YOU will do: You will evaluate and select Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and custom hardware solutions by conducting trade studies to ensure system requirements, performance, and lifecycle needs are met. You will perform preliminary and detailed electrical design activities, including schematic capture and PCB/PWB design. You will plan and execute device-level and system-level testing in support of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), including integration and verification testing. You will develop detailed verification test plans, procedures, and reports to support configuration control and change management. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Software, Systems, Configuration Management, Supply Chain, and Field Engineering to deliver end-to-end solutions. You will mentor junior engineers and may lead small hardware development teams supporting ECPs and modernization efforts. What YOU will learn: You will gain exposure to large-scale, safety-critical ATC systems deployed worldwide. You will deepen your expertise in modernizing legacy systems using COTS technologies and evolving hardware platforms. You will grow your technical leadership skills through mentoring and small-team leadership opportunities.
