About The Position

The Air Combat Test & Training (ACTT) Department within Mission Systems is dedicated to enhancing training capability and realism, enabling U.S. warfighters and international partners to “train like you fight.” Our ACTT engineering team develops cutting-edge products for cryptographic, datalink, networking, and command and control applications supporting threat and weapon simulations. Our complex systems allow military pilots to practice combat maneuvers in the air without the hazards or expense of firing real weapons. We design secure Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI) systems, taking them from concept to accreditation, factory production and installation.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Experience making decisions that impact cost, schedule, and technical performance
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a customer-facing role
  • Experience with the development, integration, test, installation, and support of military networking equipment, avionics, or radios
  • Background as a CAM using earned value management
  • Experience in Agile Project Management
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills; action-oriented problem solver
  • Current DoD Secret (or above) security clearance preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering effort to develop new technologies and support customer needs.
  • Build strong relationships, effectively influence, and communicate with team members, suppliers, and internal and external customers
  • Perform Control Account Manager (CAM) duties, including planning, managing, and communicating project cost, schedule, and risk to support program earned value metrics, while mentoring other CAMs
  • Coordinate the preparation of bids and proposals
  • Manage multiple competing tasks and balance priorities
  • Travel up to 20%
