About The Position

This role involves researching, collecting, processing, and organizing data into various data repositories. This includes maintaining and updating interfaces, creating data rules and data mapping, and resolving data discrepancies across multiple business applications. The Principal Data Analyst will also respond to business requests to analyze data to generate actionable insights. As an expert in their field, the individual will apply broad business knowledge and strategic insight surrounding emerging trends and technologies to solve complex problems and drive organizational results. This position leads critical, high-impact projects and designs/implements innovative business strategies, working with minimal oversight. The Principal Data Analyst frequently consults senior leadership, influences executive decisions, serves as a mentor, and assists others with challenging issues. This role manages the most complex data storage from multiple sources and performs very complex level analytics to solve very complex business problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science, Math, etc.
• 7+ years of related experience.
• Certification is required in some areas.
• Proficiency in analytical tools including SQL, PowerBI, Python, etc.

Responsibilities

• Gather, preprocess, and cleanse data from various sources to ensure it is accurate and ready for analysis.
• Analyze data using statistical methods to identify trends and insights, creating reports and recommendations for business decisions.
• Create clear, factual/precise, and compelling data visualizations and reports to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Identify, resolve, and ensure the accuracy of data discrepancies across platforms, maintaining data reliability through quality control and auditing.
