Principal Cyber Architect (Remote from US)
About The Position
As a Principal Cyber Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping enterprise network security strategy, designing resilient, threat-informed architectures that protect critical digital infrastructure. You will lead the implementation of advanced security solutions across hybrid environments, leveraging technologies like Palo Alto firewalls and Cloudflare services. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Cyber Defense and Network Operations, to ensure security initiatives align with business objectives. You will drive automation, innovation, and operational excellence while conducting threat modeling, security assessments, and integrating emerging technologies. This position offers a strategic leadership opportunity to influence network security posture, maintain regulatory compliance, and safeguard the trust of members, clients, and partners in a remote work environment.
Requirements
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field; advanced certifications (CISSP, CISM, Palo Alto PCNSE, Cloudflare Certified Specialist) preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience in network security architecture, with at least 5 years in a principal or leadership role
- Deep expertise with Palo Alto firewalls, Cloudflare security services, and cloud-based network protection
- Strong background in threat-informed defense, security operations, and platform engineering integration
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and align security strategies with business objectives
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and best practices for automation and operational excellence
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of enterprise-wide network security architectures to defend against advanced cyber threats
- Shape and execute the network security strategy, including Zero Trust frameworks, network segmentation, and secure connectivity solutions
- Architect, integrate, and optimize cloud-based and on-premise security technologies, including Palo Alto, Cloudflare, SASE, and SD-WAN platforms
- Collaborate with Cyber Defense and Network Operations teams to align security initiatives with organizational objectives
- Conduct threat modeling, security assessments, and vulnerability analyses, providing actionable recommendations for mitigation
- Monitor and optimize network security operations using automation and data-driven insights to improve detection and response
- Ensure regulatory compliance with GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS, and other relevant standards, maintaining operational and audit readiness
