About The Position

We are looking for an exceptional principal coordinator to support the planning and logistics of our signature events, along with the engagement strategy for the Students and Grads Programs. The ideal candidate will have strong planning, organization, and communication skills, in addition to meticulous attention to detail.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 1 year of experience in corporate event planning or project management
  • At least 1 year of experience in Microsoft Office or Google Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in corporate event planning or project management
  • At least 2 years of experience in Microsoft Office or Google Suite
  • Experience working in an agile environment

Responsibilities

  • Partner with key program stakeholders to help execute signature Students & Grads Program Events (Experience Weeks, Onboarding, Graduation) supporting event and logistics support services (fun events, catering, swag, hotel room blocks, etc.) in accordance with Capital One's support process, standards and systems
  • Manage program budgets, which includes tracking, forecasting, and auditing information on a regular basis
  • Help manage, identify, and implement process improvements that enhance the associate experience and/or operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance to policies and procedures through monitoring and coaching
  • Coordinate ongoing campus hire and internship trainings and communications
  • Manage program communications, including drafting and editing information to be distributed through Team calendar, Google Site, mailbox, newsletter and Slack
  • Build and own relationships with internal clients, stakeholders, and external vendors
  • Maintain upkeep of Google Drives and Google Sites spaces
  • Ability to quickly and effectively adapt to change
  • Help escalate issues to ensure efficient resolution
  • Proven problem solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to embrace new systems and process enhancements
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity when interacting with all customer contacts
