About The Position

This role is a strategic advisor position embedded within a Product organization, responsible for shaping compensation strategies that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. You will partner closely with senior leaders, recruiters, and People Business Partners to influence pay practices, equity plans, and organizational design decisions. The position offers an opportunity to develop deep expertise in the Product talent market while providing data-driven guidance on offers, promotions, retention, and complex compensation scenarios. Success in this role requires strong analytical capabilities, excellent consulting skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with executives. You will contribute to the evolution of compensation philosophy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and employee experience. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and focused on empowering employees while maintaining internal equity and market competitiveness.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of compensation experience with significant business partnering and consulting expertise.
  • Experience supporting Product, Engineering, or Technology organizations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep knowledge of compensation fundamentals, including market pricing, job evaluation, salary structures, and equity compensation.
  • Proven ability to influence and advise senior leaders, with comfort presenting to executives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build credibility and trust quickly.
  • High judgment and discretion in handling sensitive compensation matters.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic compensation guidance to senior leaders, recruiters, and People Business Partners on offers, promotions, retention, and organizational design.
  • Lead compensation planning for the Product organization during annual cycles, ensuring alignment with enterprise principles, internal equity, and budget.
  • Advise on complex compensation scenarios, including counter-offers, equity negotiations, and specialized talent segments.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with Product executives and People Business Partners through proactive engagement and responsive support.
  • Conduct regular market analyses and provide recommendations to maintain competitiveness of Product roles.
  • Coach and enable managers on compensation philosophy, decision-making frameworks, and effective compensation conversations.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of enterprise compensation philosophy, structures, and policies based on insights from the Product organization.
