That’s why our team is looking to add a Principal Associate, Workplace Site Operations Lead. As a Workplace Site Ops Lead, you’ll manage the day-to-day relationships with our internal customers and lines of business, and engage with external providers responsible for facilities, space planning, moves, food and beverage services and mail services. You will also help partner on the execution of security strategies that will improve operational effectiveness and ensure the safety of Capital One employees and customers within the community. The ideal candidate should: Provide timely communications to the appropriate audience via the optimal channel and comfortable addressing/addressing to senior leaders and teams Understand customer needs and requests customer feedback to build solutions that "meet customers where they are” Be autonomous in role and take accountability for work product. Manage information with appropriate discretion Be comfortable with ambiguity/working in white space Use multiple sources to ground information. Follow best practices to reach desired outcomes Ground severity of issues based on level/type of impact and recommends optimal solutions based on pros/cons Look for opportunities to help others be successful, recognize others and support a highly-effective team and values-based culture Assess the level of effort required to deliver results, and manage their own and their team’s bandwidth to avoid compromising quality of results Provide lift to the team/manager by taking on extra work when needed. Tap into others' experiences/expertise to achieve stronger team results

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in Facilities Management or Relationship Management
  • At least 2 years of experience managing facilities for multiple locations

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Project Management, People Management or Supplier Management
  • 2+ years of experience with G Suite tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead third-party providers responsible for facilities, space planning, moves, food and beverage services, hospitality, conferencing, AV and print/mail services
  • Understand service provider scope of work and KPIs to monitor and report on vendor performance
  • Identify, recommend/document and implement ways to drive optimal utilization of the facilities
  • Promote operational excellence in customer service and a seamless user experience across providers
  • Empower service providers to be innovative and deliver transformational ideas/results
  • Maintain landlord relationships and engage with landlords facilities team as required
  • Partner with cross-functional teams at all levels and serve as a trusted real estate expert internally and externally
  • Deliver high-performing results while balancing customer needs and communicating Global Workplace Services strategies and best practices
  • Role model a positive work environment through engagement and team building activities
  • Contribute to the development of the annual CapEx and Opex budgets
  • Partner with other GWS teams to create solutions and/or solve problems in a proactive manner
  • When roadblocks arise, identifies work around to keep project progress
  • Recommend opportunities for cost savings efficiency improvements
  • Assist in managing safety and security issues stemming from incident reports
  • Partner with business continuity teams to ensure all facilities are prepared before and after an emergency situation
