We’re building a world where Identity belongs to you. Okta is seeking a Principle Analyst – People Technologies (Workday Compensation and Benefits) to join our Business Solutions Team. In this critical role, you will partner closely with the People Technology leadership and play a key role in our Workday transformation efforts. As part of a cross-functional team, you will collaborate with stakeholders across People, Payroll, IT, Finance, and international offices to optimize and scale our HR systems and processes. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about solving complex business challenges, driving innovation through automation, and delivering a best-in-class user experience.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of overall experience with Workday Compensation , Advance Compensation , including hands-on configuration and support.
  • Deep expertise in Workday modules such as Compensation, Advance compensation, Benefits, Security Administration, Business Process Configuration, and Report Writer.
  • Minimum 5+ full end to end implementation experience in Workday Compensation , Advance Compensation and Benefits module.
  • Workday certification with any one of the modules (Advance Compensation/ Benefits) is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience developing and enhancing custom reports and dashboards in Workday.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose and implement scalable solutions.
  • Project management capabilities to lead and oversee complex Workday initiatives from start to finish.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to business audiences.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, diverse, and collaborative environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and expand Workday knowledge across additional modules or areas of functionality.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with advanced Workday reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Knowledge of change management and user adoption strategies for enterprise systems.
  • Knowledge of Workday integrations including EIBs, Core Connectors, and third-party vendor integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Workday subject matter expert (SME), with strong knowledge across multiple modules such as, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, and Benefits.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to understand business challenges, prioritize needs based on impact, and translate them into actionable initiatives.
  • Drive HR transformation initiatives in the area of Compensation, Advanced Compensation, and Benefits.
  • Confidently facilitate configuration workshops and problem-solving sessions with business stakeholders to define system needs and best practices.
  • Lead all phases of the Workday configuration lifecycle, including gathering business requirements, designing solutions, configuring the system, supporting testing, and driving adoption.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for data collection, testing, and communication between key stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Ensure data integrity and support the ongoing enhancement and adoption of new Workday features and functionality.
  • Provide ongoing support for key annual events such as Open Enrollment, Annual compensation reviews.
  • Contribute to internal enablement efforts by providing training and knowledge-sharing opportunities across cross-functional teams
  • Design, build, and maintain advanced Workday reports, including Composite, Matrix, and other custom reporting solutions.
  • Identify and evaluate multiple solution options for business needs, making recommendations based on impact, scalability, and system design principles.
  • Manage Workday releases, ensuring new features are tested, adopted, and optimized in a timely manner.
  • Serve as a liaison between business teams and Workday technical resources, ensuring alignment and timely delivery of enhancements and projects.
  • Review and approve solution designs, configurations, and deliverables.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment by supporting peers and contributing to continuous improvement in tools, processes, and team knowledge.
