The Pricing Specialist is an analytical and strategic thinker able to assess multiple inputs including product value proposition, product cost, consumer preference, and customer cost-in-use data to optimize pricing decisions and recommendations. This position requires a high degree of collaboration with other functional areas including sales, technical applications, R&D, supply chain, and operations. We are seeking an individual who is both capable and comfortable making decisions with incomplete or less than perfect data. While an operations or cost accounting background is not required, the ability to understand how volume and different manufacturing processes impact product cost is essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Comfort in decision making and strong oral and written communication skills necessary.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Works, and Access.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Specifically Excel).
  • Must be an analytical and strategic thought leader.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of JDE a plus.
  • Understanding of JDE is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Price quotes – provide the sales team with timely price quotes on new project opportunities that enable the business unit to win new business and grow revenues.
  • Annual pricing reviews – coordinates and administers scheduled price increases, participates in pricing discussions, and ensure implementations for all customers.
  • Pricing Strategy – In conjunction with the Product Manager, Marketing Director, Sales Director, and General Manager, create pricing strategy for different customer segments.
  • Data Management – manage pricing data in JDE, including open orders, pricing holds, and new account forms.
  • Analysis - Work with the sales team to understand their projects, customer markets, and competitive landscape.
