About The Position

The Neil Jones Food Company is an industry leader, processing superior quality fresh-packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation’s discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 50 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA. We are looking for a Price & Promotions Coordinator II to be responsible for department payables including but limited to billbacks, rebates, commissions & coupons, and logging completions into the AP Voucher logbook. This role will be responsible for processing monthly and quarterly auto-promotions & allowances, process deductions, award commercial bids as needed, extracting web-based vendor data as needed, and maintaining contact list for all promotional payees at our corporate headquarters in Vancouver, WA. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred; or any equivalent combination of training, experience, or education that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
  • At least 3 years of experience in business, accounting, marketing/sales, or related field and good knowledge of internal sales, customer service, accounts receivable, and billing processes and procedures.
  • Proficient at 10-key and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word; PeopleSoft ERP system experience preferred.
  • Attention to detail & accuracy; requires ability to work within a narrow margin of error.
  • Ability to pass a Math and Excel Skills Assessment, a pre-employment drug test, background check including employment and educational verification, and to work extended schedule during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.

  • PeopleSoft ERP system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process all bill-backs, rebates, commissions & coupons in a timely manner.
  • Process auto-promo & allowance invoices.
  • Process deductions in a timely manner.
  • Work with AR Deduction team and AP/AR/Billing team to resolve issues where needed.
  • Effectively use vendor data sites as needed to process payables.
