About The Position

Pantheon Data (a Kenific Holding company) is a private, small business based in the Washington, DC, area. Pantheon Data was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Our service offerings have grown in the past ten years, including infrastructure resiliency, contact center operations, information technology, software engineering, program management, strategic communications, engineering, and cybersecurity. We have also grown our customer base to include commercial clients. The company has used this experience to expand our service offerings to other agencies within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Defense (DoD), and other Federal Civilian Agencies. Pantheon Data is seeking an experienced Pricing Analyst to support our growing Business Development and Proposal teams within the federal government contracting space. This role is responsible for developing, analyzing, and refining complex pricing models for competitive proposals and active contracts. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in government cost structures, advanced Excel capabilities, and a strong understanding of multiple contract types and pricing methodologies. The Pricing Analyst will play a critical role in shaping bid strategies, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements, and supporting leadership with data-driven financial insights related to cost, revenue, margins, and risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in pricing, cost analysis, or financial analysis within a government contracting environment.
  • Demonstrated experience building pricing models and cost proposals for federal government RFPs.
  • Strong understanding of government contract pricing structures, including: Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Time & Materials (T&M) Cost Plus / Fixed Fee (CPFF)
  • Hands-on experience with: Cost build-outs Fringe, G&A, and overhead calculations Wrap rates and escalation modeling Fee and pricing strategy development
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, models, and data analysis).
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, judgment, and discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Active or ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Experience supporting pricing strategy for competitive federal proposals.
  • Familiarity with procurement planning, forecasting, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience developing or improving pricing, acquisition, or procurement templates, SOPs, and best practices.
  • Ability to contribute to training initiatives for proposal, program, or contracts personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, refine, and maintain detailed pricing and cost models for federal government proposals, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time & Materials (T&M), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), and other cost-reimbursable structures.
  • Build complete cost proposals including direct labor, fringe, G&A, overhead, escalation, wrap rates, and fee structures.
  • Perform cost build-outs aligned with RFP requirements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and competitiveness.
  • Support proposal efforts by conducting salary and market rate research and applying appropriate escalation factors.
  • Analyze and validate pricing assumptions, risks, and profitability scenarios.
  • Analyze project revenues, costs, gross margins, and profitability across bids and active contracts.
  • Monitor and report variances between estimated and actual revenue and margin performance.
  • Track and analyze historical bid data (wins and losses) to inform future pricing strategies.
  • Review monthly financial statements and performance data to identify trends, risks, or potential issues.
  • Prepare clear, concise financial reports and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes by collecting, reviewing, and validating financial data.
  • Support multiple internal stakeholders including Business Development, Finance, Contracts, and Program Management.
  • Manage shifting priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced proposal-driven environment.
  • Participate in ad hoc financial analysis projects as needed.
