About the role: As a Pricing Analyst, your goal will be to partner with our Merchandising Managers to review pricing data and apply our established corporate strategies to ensure our member owners maintain a proper price image while maximizing margin opportunities. You will have the opportunity to share your expertise and pricing recommendations during regular collaborative touch points with our merchandising teams. You’ll continue to develop within your reporting and communication tools while being a critical advocate for our member owners. You will also have the opportunity to participate on special projects working closely with various positions in Merchandising to ensure the overall category strategy is accurately reflected in the Do it Best retail price strategy. The goal for this position is to gain an understanding of pricing and margin and how that functions within the co-op to eventually grow into the Associate Merchandise Manager role and have a broader impact on the member’s businesses and vendor programs.

Requirements

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience with Excel, Access, and Google Suite to produce highly-detailed and accurate analyses and reports.
  • Excellent analytic capabilities - by analyzing pricing data
  • Excellent communication skills (strong verbal and written)
  • Ability to develop relationships, work in a team environment, and effectively influence
  • Willingness to learn and be adaptable
  • Self-directed, able to work with little supervision
  • Must possess a high level of accuracy
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Ability to understand pricing concepts and have a good aptitude for working with numbers
