About The Position

The Inspire Georgia provides temporary shelter care and case management services to unaccompanied children in the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) custody. ORR has a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of sexual abuse and sexual harassment. The Prevention of Sexual Abuse Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all policies and services related to this rule are implemented in a culturally sensitive and knowledgeable manner that is tailored for a diverse population. Position Details: Full Time Child and Family Services Reports to Inspire Georgia Lead Clinician Located in Atlanta, GA On-site Monday through Friday; 8:30AM – 5:00PM Annual Compensation: $60,000

Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in the behavioral sciences, human services, or social work fields or bachelor’s degree in social work plus one year of direct clinical experience working with children and families.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Extended Reach, electronic databases
  • Must have the ability to communicate in a culturally competent manner.
  • Must be sensitive to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Ability to work within a team and to work independently.
  • Ability to take the initiative.
  • In-Person with Virtual/Remote Flexibility/Opportunity.
  • On-call required.
  • Must have a personal vehicle, a valid Georgia Driver's license and have personal auto insurance and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees compliance with the HHS Interim Final Rule: Standards to Prevent, Detect, and Respond to Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment Involving Unaccompanied Children (45 CFR Part § 411) and ORR policies and procedure related to sexual abuse and harassment.
  • Understand reporting requirements for ORR and state specific entities related to sexual abuse.
  • Understand reporting requirements for incidents related to sexual abuse, sexual harassment, inappropriate sexual behavior, and staff code of conduct violations.
  • Complete initial Prevention of Sexual Abuse Orientation and refresher orientations with each minor within required timeframe.
  • Monitor and provide PSA training to all staff as per requirements.
  • Monitors grievance boxes daily, investigate complaints, implement resolution and initiate CLE’s as per policy.
  • Monitor’s minor observation notes daily and escalate concerns to appropriate teams.
  • Monitors notice walls daily to ensure compliance with ORR requirements and most UpToDate versions of all notices are available.
  • Serve as liaison for the ORR’s PSA Coordinator and any other agency representative collaborating in any sexual abuse and sexual harassment incidents.
  • Participate in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings to review and to evaluate child and sponsor participation and progress.
  • Maintain accurate, and current documentation of service provision in each UAC case file, while ensuring compliance with ORR and agency documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on data collected from CLEs, desk audits and monitoring visits to identify program challenges and areas for additional training related to IFR, and create program recommendations, corrective action plans, and program development plans in collaboration with the Program Director.
  • Implement and monitor corrective action plans in place to ensure improvement and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Program Director in preparing for Prevention of Sexual Abuse audits conducted by ORR.
  • Collaborate with Program Director, Program and CQI Manager to meet agency’s Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI)/Quality Assurance (QA) requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet program’s needs.
