About The Position

The Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep of the hotel'sbuilding, grounds, and operational systems. This role involves conducting day-to-daymaintenance, addressing repair needs, and managing the preventative maintenanceprogram. The ideal candidate will ensure all equipment operates smoothly, minimizingdowntime, and maintaining safety standards. The Preventative Maintenance Technician role is best suited for someone who: Has strong technical skills and experience in maintaining mechanical and electricalsystems. Is proactive and detail-oriented, capable of identifying and resolving maintenanceissues promptly. Works well independently and as part of a team, supporting the overallmaintenance and operational needs of the hotel.

Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Maintain company and franchise maintenance standards for guest rooms andpublic areas.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipateand address guest needs.
  • Resolve maintenance problems, complaints, and work orders efficiently.
  • Ensure that property and equipment are maintained safely, adhering tomanufacturer specifications for repairs.
  • Service the hotel’s pool, including cleaning, maintaining appearance, and balancingchemicals, while completing maintenance logs.
  • Maintain the exterior of the building, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
  • Complete maintenance logs thoroughly, ensuring accurate documentation of workperformed.
  • Follow and maintain the preventative maintenance program, addressing scheduledmaintenance tasks as needed.
  • Assist with periodic or scheduled cleaning projects as required.
  • Support other departments when needed and perform other duties as assigned bymanagement.
