Press Secretary Job Title: Press Secretary Agency: State of Oregon - Office of the Governor Location: Salem, Oregon - Oregon State Capitol Salary Range: $8299.00 - $11657.00 Position Type: Full-Time Your New Role – Press Secretary! The Press Secretary is primarily responsible for working with Governor’s Office staff and the Governor’s communications team in responding to press inquiries, developing overall communications strategy and acting as a spokesperson for the office with print and broadcast media This position is full-time but not a standard 8-5, M-F work week. Evening and weekend work will be required. Professional appearance and demeanor, attention to detail, self-directed, enjoys interacting with the public, a multitasker. Requirements

Seven years of executive-level policy development or foundational experience directly related to the position being recruited; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience
Related experience must provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the functions of the position proficiently.

Nice To Haves

Qualified candidates may have an educational background in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or commensurate professional experience in the fields of journalism or communications.
Experience in fields of education, health care, housing, and foster care.
Must be able to demonstrate ability to work in high volume, fast paced environments.
Experience in graphic design, video editing, and photography is a plus.
