Specific Duties: (Other duties may be assigned) 80% Responsible for bringing the appropriate paperwork to office upon completion of shift Must follow through on final closing and check out procedures with Manager Setup cart with plates, cutlery and enough to go items for the night. Setup soda machine with ice, cups, etc. Setup coffee station Assist with keeping the food line clean and wiped down. Inventory at the beginning and end of the shift knives and forks Wipe down soda and coffee machines at the end of the night. Always keep a watchful eye for objects on the floor that might endanger the guests and other employees. Butter, water, ice or broken glass that may have fallen on the floor should be cleaned up immediately Acquire overall knowledge of the food and beverages. Check the food in the hot box to the menu you received Get all sign in sheets and keys from Premium office for the night Sign bank in at start of the shift and out at end of the shift Use register to charge media personnel Add and total sign in sheets for each department. At the end of the night, make copies of all sign in sheets. Store copies in filing cabinet Clear and clean tables if trash is left behind. Ensure that all guests are served properly. Report all comments to Banquet Manager. Complete any designated side work duties during shift. Help with set-up and breakdown (tables, chairs, linens, etc.) 10% Assist culinary team when necessary. Must ensure that food quality, service standards, and cleanliness are up to Levy standards. Miscellaneous duties as assigned. 10% Be aware of all emergency numbers and safety procedures. Monitor overall cleanliness of entire press lounge area before, during, and after each event. Help other Team Members when time permits. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, guests, and the general public. b. Math Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest commissions, proportions, percentage, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. c. Computer Skills: The individual must have the ability to work with in-house computer programs. a. Additional Physical Demands: The individual may be required to stand, talk, hear, taste or smell for 2/3 or more of the work shift, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms for 1/3 to 2/3 or the work shift and climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl for up to 1/3 of the shift.
