About The Position

The Level 1 CNC Press Operator plays an essential role in producing high-quality aluminum boat components. This position focuses on operating press equipment, forming metal parts accurately, and following established processes and instructions. This is an entry-level role for individuals who are detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn CNC press operations in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Ability to see and identify small details from a few feet away
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Ability to use an angle finder
• Ability to follow directions and written instructions
• Understanding of common aluminum thicknesses (.080, .100, .125)
• Willingness to learn CNC press operations and tooling selection
• Ability to stand for long periods and handle large metal parts

Nice To Haves

• Previous CNC or press brake experience
• Manufacturing or metal fabrication experience

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC and manual presses to form aluminum boat parts
• Read and follow job instructions, flowcharts, and basic blueprints
• Measure parts accurately using tape measures and angle finders
• Select appropriate tooling and determine which parts run on each press
• Handle and move metal parts efficiently through the press area
• Use basic hand tools such as snips, hammers, choppers, and hand brakes
• Order ribs and related parts as needed
• Communicate production needs through Alweld computer systems
• Inspect parts to ensure quality and accuracy
• Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
