About The Position

The President serves as the chief executive leader of SHABACH! Ministries, Inc., responsible for advancing the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities. This role provides oversight of daily operations, program development, financial management, and staff leadership, while working in close partnership with the Board of Directors. The President will also serve as a key external representative of SMI, building strong relationships with community stakeholders, funders, and government entities to expand the organization’s reach and impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit or human services environment
  • Proven executive leadership and strategic planning experience
  • Strong financial management and budget oversight skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and build strong relationships
  • Must be a born-again believer
  • Must possess a servant’s heart and commitment to faith-based service
  • Must be comfortable working in a church-affiliated environment

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in business, public administration, human services, or a related field preferred
  • Experience with fundraising, grants, and community partnerships preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general technology tools

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for all SMI programs and operations
  • Ensure alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and faith-based values
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate program leaders and administrative staff
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and servant leadership
  • Develop and execute strategic plans in collaboration with the Board of Directors
  • Identify opportunities to expand and enhance programs through grants and partnerships
  • Oversee the development of proposals and funding initiatives to support growth
  • Manage and oversee a multi-million-dollar budget
  • Ensure strong financial stewardship, reporting, and compliance
  • Partner with finance leadership to maintain fiscal integrity and sustainability
  • Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors
  • Provide regular updates on organizational performance, programs, and finances
  • Support the Board in strategic decision-making and long-term planning
  • Serve as the public spokesperson for SMI
  • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, government agencies, and partner organizations
  • Represent SMI at events, meetings, and public forums
  • Ensure all programs comply with contractual, licensing, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes across all program areas
