About The Position

Our Discovery Learning Center is a warm, inclusive preschool serving children ages 2 months to 5 years, including children with diverse abilities. We are currently seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Preschool Teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and inclusion. Requirements

  • Associate Degree in a related field or CDA (Child Development Associate)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with preschool-age children
  • Experience supporting children with disabilities in an educational or childcare setting
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the role (standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., active supervision)
  • Level II Background Check required
  • Drug-Free Workplace

Responsibilities

  • Creating a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels safe, supported, and valued
  • Planning and leading engaging lessons using the Creative Curriculum, including music, art, sensory play, and hands-on learning
  • Supporting children with diverse needs using positive behavior support strategies
  • Tracking developmental progress using Teaching Strategies Gold
  • Building strong partnerships with families through open communication and conferences
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and records to support individualized learning
  • Collaborating with fellow teachers, therapists, and leadership as part of a mission-driven team
  • Following Pinellas County Childcare Licensing Standards and all safety requirements
