About The Position

Requirements

  • Hold an EEC Preschool Teacher Certification
  • Hold an ECE degree, CDA, or equivalent experience (required)
  • Have experience in a center-based, private, or public school setting
  • Bring energy, warmth, creativity, and consistency into the classroom
  • Believe children learn best through play, structure, and relationships
  • Thrive in a team-oriented environment with shared responsibility
  • Flexibility to work an 8-hour shift within school operating hours

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with Magical Beginnings’ curriculum
  • Create an engaging learning experiences that support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet each child’s individual needs and interests.
  • Establish a safe, structured, positive classroom environment for children
  • Use positive behavior guidance, redirection, and modeling to support emotional regulation and social skills
  • Encourage empathy, kindness, problem-solving, independence, and self-help skills
  • Support early literacy, numeracy, and school readiness through hands-on activities
  • Engage children in free play, outdoor time, meals, rest time, and transitions
  • Communicate with families through our family communication tool, newsletters, and ongoing updates
  • Observe, document, and assess children’s developmental progress
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom throughout the day
  • Collaborate closely with co-teachers, leadership, and families
  • Attend monthly staff meetings and ongoing professional development
  • Model respectful communication, positive tone, and professionalism at all times
