About The Position

The Preschool Receptionist serves as the primary front-facing representative of the preschool, providing administrative and operational support under the direction of the Preschool Director. This role ensures smooth daily operations by managing communication, coordinating logistics, and creating a welcoming environment for students, parents, and visitors. While highly relational, this position does not serve within the classroom.

Requirements

  • Able to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.
  • Strong communication and computer skills.
  • Must be a proactive self-starter, creative problem solver and team player.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and proper care of personal information.
  • Knowledge of computer applications such as Word and/or Pages, Excel and/or Numbers, PowerPoint and/or Keynote, etc.
  • Physical requirements: Constant periods of sitting and repetitive motions. Occasionally able to lift or move up to 20lbs and standing or walking.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for parents, students, and visitors, creating a warm and welcoming environment
  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist in sending preschool communications, updates, and announcements to families
  • Maintain accurate records, files, and student information as needed
  • Order, track, and organize preschool supplies and materials
  • Support daily administrative tasks, scheduling, and coordination efforts
  • Assist with check-in/check-out processes and general front desk operations
  • Collaborate with the Preschool Director to support ongoing preschool needs
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
