About The Position

Responsible for day-to-day operations of Community Action Council's Child Development classrooms. This role involves providing leadership to teaching staff and implementing activities to ensure the achievement of curriculum and child outcomes. It also requires maintaining National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation, ensuring compliance with state licensing requirements, local ordinances, and Head Start Program Performance Standards.

Requirements

• Associate degree

• Masters, Bachelors or Associate in: interdisciplinary early childhood education, early childhood special education, early childhood education, early childhood development, elementary education, child care assistant, child development services, human sciences, individual and family studies.
• Related degree: psychology, sociology, art therapy, child life, elementary education, nursing, speech therapy, counseling, human services, human services administration or program administration, nursery school teacher, university or general studies with emphasis in early childhood, physical therapy, occupation therapy.
