About The Position

Responsible for driving excellence, innovation, and transformative growth in the Police Academy (PA) department for Johnson County Community College (JCCC). Strategically plan and oversee operations and ensure superior student outcomes while optimizing resource utilization and maintaining regulatory compliance. Position details include but are not limited to: Drive a positive and inclusive culture that fosters innovation and promotes collaborative teamwork, inspiring and empowering individuals to achieve excellence. Facilitate matriculation of Officers through the academy. Direct the coordination and supervision of full-time and part-time law enforcement instructors, staff, and training evaluators. Cultivate and strengthen positive relationships with a diverse range of external stakeholders and community partners to drive collaboration, support, and mutual growth. Foster open and proactive dialogue at all levels of the college and the surrounding community, effectively promoting the success of all students and upholding the mission of the community college. Oversee the development and management of the department's budget, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization of resources. Monitor expenditures, analyze financial data, and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation. Provide leadership for overall program curriculum implementation and evaluation to ensure program vitality, leading to student success. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10 or more years of law enforcement experience
  • 5 or more years of Supervisory Experience
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills

  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
  • Advance leadership school (e.g., Southern Police Institute, FBI National Academy, or a Command School)
