About The Position

Gas South Region consists of five venues in and around Gwinnett County; Gas South District Center, Gas South District Arena, Buford Community Center, Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, and University of Georgia. With a mixture of events, concessions, and premium hospitality throughout the region, the Premium Operations manager will office from Gas South Arena, but will help support all venues as needed. We are seeking a Premium Supervisor with experience in Sports & Entertainment catering with an emphasis on overseeing multiple suite/club areas. This role will be instrumental in the day to day success of our Premium Operations as the second in command for all things Premium Hospitality leading up to and on event days.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Hospitality Operations, Event Coordination, Operations Supervisor, or equivalent Experience in food service management - setting up events, executing multiple buffets, food safety, leading service teams is required!
  • Must live within 25 miles of Duluth, GA 30097
  • Must be a team player, well organized, strong computer/Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond any client needs
  • Ability to run a business as if you own it
  • Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with account executives, sales team, and culinary to fully understand event details including custom menus, event set up, décor needs, planning, organization and execution of events.
  • Meeting clients and visiting venues to ensure all requests are understood and met.
  • Communicating with serving, bartending and culinary staff to ensure all scheduled staff are properly trained and prepared for event(s).
  • Managing the team scheduled to run each event. Leading captains and servers of event(s) and providing ongoing development/training to supervise a team.
  • Attending and executing event(s) ensuring it runs smoothly from the set-up to break-down.
  • Assisting in post-event tasks including, payroll data entry, inventory, uniform management, month end reconciliation, etc.
