About The Position

Join a trusted aerospace manufacturer through TekPro TekPro is the recruiting partner for a respected aerospace components manufacturer. We are hiring an on-site manufacturing engineer focused on new product introduction, process optimization, and measurable gains in quality and productivity. Expect close collaboration with production, quality, and customer engineering teams and a highly hands-on scope. The opportunity Shape how precision aerospace parts are made by architecting machining processes end-to-end. From translating customer requirements to designing workholding, sequencing operations, and supporting the shop floor, you will ensure repeatable, cost-effective performance that satisfies both internal metrics and customer expectations. Impact you will make Build accurate ERP records including BOMs, routings, and item masters Evaluate new-part contracts to determine materials, documentation, and required flow-downs Turn drawings, prints, specifications, and requirements into lean, capable processes Apply GD&T and in-process control plans while drafting clear work instructions Interface with customers to resolve ambiguities and propose design-for-manufacture improvements Troubleshoot and resolve tooling, fixturing, and machining challenges on the floor Design and refine fixtures, workholding, and tooling that meet production and quality needs Create process drawings and comprehensive, step-by-step work instructions Support estimating by assessing process steps, tolerances, and manufacturability risks Flow internal, customer, and regulatory requirements to suppliers and vendors Lead and participate in root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement Stabilize and sustain repeat jobs by preserving process consistency Keep an orderly workspace and demonstrate dependable, positive work habits Strengthen the Quality Management System via compliant, improvement-minded practices Collaborate across functions and with supplier partners to deliver results What you bring BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, practical manufacturing process engineering background Fluency in reading customer drawings, specs, GD&T, and manufacturing documentation 4+ years with CAD/CAM tools such as Mastercam, Unigraphics, or SolidWorks Proven capability in workholding and fixturing design and tooling selection Expertise in sequencing part processes to achieve quality, cost, and throughput targets Hands-on troubleshooting of fixturing, tooling, machining strategies, and process flow 5+ years in CNC machining or precision fabrication environments ERP proficiency, including creating and maintaining BOMs, routings, and item masters Experience collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams on technical topics How we work On-site, shoulder-to-shoulder with operations, this role is both technical and practical. You will be a central connector between the customer, production, quality, and suppliers, ensuring every process is documented, controlled, and continuously improved.

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, practical manufacturing process engineering background
  • Fluency in reading customer drawings, specs, GD&T, and manufacturing documentation
  • 4+ years with CAD/CAM tools such as Mastercam, Unigraphics, or SolidWorks
  • Proven capability in workholding and fixturing design and tooling selection
  • Expertise in sequencing part processes to achieve quality, cost, and throughput targets
  • Hands-on troubleshooting of fixturing, tooling, machining strategies, and process flow
