About The Position

Make Your Mark in Precision Machining Picture your day in Lockport, IL: you arrive for a steady 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday overtime when production calls. You review prints, plan your setups, and move confidently between CNC and manual vertical and horizontal mills and lathes. You write and edit programs at the control, execute complete setups, and run parts to exact spec. When the job calls for it, you support industrial repair, short-run prototypes, and long-run production—and you handle material moves with overhead cranes up to 25 tons. Requirements

• Hands-on experience with both CNC and manual machining
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints
• Your own set of machinist tools
• Proven ability to program, set up, and run independently
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset

Responsibilities

• Operate both CNC and manual mills and lathes (vertical and horizontal)
• Write and edit CNC programs; adjust at the machine to dial in quality
• Perform full machine setups and run parts to print with precision
• Inspect completed parts to verify they meet quality standards
• Support industrial repair, short-run, and long-run production needs
• Safely use overhead cranes for material handling (up to 25 tons)
