About The Position

This position requires a dynamic and highly motivated individual who has successfully completed a Registered Nurse (RN) program at an accredited school of nursing and maintains a current, active nursing license. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center setting. While ambulatory surgery experience is preferred, we are willing to provide training for a candidate who demonstrates strong clinical aptitude and a commitment to excellence. This is a full-time position, scheduled five (5) days per week (36–40 hours), and includes participation in an on-call rotation. Occasional flexibility in scheduling may be required to meet patient care needs. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the pre-operative process, including patient assessment, preparation, and education.
  • Ensure all required testing, documentation, and procedures are completed accurately and in a timely manner to promote surgical readiness.
  • Occurs every other Monday - coordinates and oversees (in conjunction with Holistic Pain Management) non-opioid pain management program and patient care.
  • Act as a strong advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met throughout the perioperative experience.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care at all times.
  • Support the daily operations of the Pre-Op and PACU departments, including patient flow coordination, scheduling assistance, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote efficiency and high-quality care delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Manager in maintaining departmental standards, workflows, and staff support.
  • Serve as a resource for team members and help foster a positive and professional work environment.
  • Participate in an established on-call rotation and patient care needs outside of regular operating hours. OR does not take call - this is to assist the Med-Surg/ER Nurses
