About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Pre-Operative Registered Nurse to prepare patients for surgical procedures in a fast-paced perioperative setting. This role plays a critical part in ensuring patient safety, readiness, and optimal surgical outcomes.
Requirements
- Active RN license (BSN preferred)
- BLS/ACLS certification
- 1–2+ years of acute care or perioperative experience preferred
- Strong assessment and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-operative assessments, including medical history review and vital signs
- Prepare patients physically and emotionally for surgery
- Verify consents, labs, and surgical documentation
- Administer pre-op medications and initiate IV access
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative teams
- Educate patients and families on procedures and expectations
