About The Position

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing continuous, quality nursing care to all patients, continually evaluating their condition, and ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy. This role may involve assisting physicians in procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation and utilizing sterile techniques. The nurse will also provide comprehensive patient care to individuals emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to prepare the patient and family for discharge. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
Active RN license in the state
BLS and ACLS Required
PALS if required by the center
Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Nice To Haves

2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred

Responsibilities
