About The Position

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES / CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the Practice and Site Administrator in managing the daily operations of the practice locations. Prepares various documents and handles confidential matters in accordance with rules, policies and procedures. Promptly and professionally answers telephone calls and inquires. Routes and/or resolves call appropriately. Ensures the office space, supplies and equipment are provided and maintained appropriately for medical staff and patient care. Manages the processing of accounts payable in accordance with policies and procedures. Assists in the investigation of Accounts Receivable accounts and interactions the Revenue Cycle Reconciles monthly billing with appointment schedules for accuracy. Identifies discrepancies and facilitates the correction. Works in collaboration with the Revenue Cycle to resolve, patient billing related matters. Ensures mail is opened and processed, and offices are opened and closed according to procedures. Provides support to the front desk staff, schedulers and referrals as needed Maintain payroll and PTO balance for all departmental employees in the department Runs errands as necessary at the request of the Practice and Site Administrator and/or Medical Site Directors. Oversees and is responsible for maintaining and cataloguing records in storage. Supports and upholds established policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvements and safety. Requirements

  • High School diploma is required, Associates Degree preferred with a minimum of 3 years of medical office experience preferred
  • Must exhibit a high degree of responsibility in confidential matters.
  • Knowledge of office record keeping and workflow processing is required.
  • Ability to work independently and balance multiple priorities is required.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written English proficiency required
  • Excellent organization, problem solving, and listening skills are required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required. Broad based experience successfully working with physicians and individuals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and EMR.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
