The Practice Manager is responsible for daily operations management and supervision of assigned practice(s) in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• In lieu of degree, 5-7 years of healthcare experience with at least two (2) years being in a supervisor capacity.
• 3-5 years supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, EMR systems, medical and billing terminology, healthcare/hospital office settings, service excellence, revenue cycle operations and recruiting, training, leading and performance management of staff.
• Multitasking, decision making, process improvement, project management, interpersonal communication, leadership, computer proficiency, excellent customer service and business savvy.
• Operate within the concept of patient focused care.
• Standard office equipment (laptop, computer, calculator, fax, copier, scanner).
• HOPD or outpatient medical office setting.
• Prolonged periods of sitting and also multi-site travel

Responsibilities

• The practice manager will maintain regulatory compliance and is responsible for maintenance of licenses/certifications, primary source validation, proper credentialing with health system medical staff office and payers.
• Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders (CBO, marketing, quality team, business development, finance, A/P, payroll, human resources, c-suite, facilities, vendors, corporate and local administration) to ensure effective and efficient practice operations.
• Practice manager will be the primary practice liaison to internal and external stakeholders.
• Manages departmental expenses cost effectively, monitors revenue cycle operations, volume and revenue generation to assure practice budgets are met and provider subsidies are kept to a minimum.
• Participates in annual operating and capital budgeting and provider and employee recruitment and onboarding.
• Demonstrates service excellence, conveys professionalism, and maintains appropriate confidentiality at all times.
