About The Position

Under general supervision, this position provides leadership and oversight for multiple outpatient clinic locations or a high-volume specialty practice. The role supports 10 or more providers and supervises more than 25 clinical and administrative staff. The Practice Manager is responsible for planning and directing complex day-to-day operations, driving clinic efficiency, supporting provider productivity, and ensuring a consistent and high-quality patient experience across all sites. This position also plays a key role in workforce development, space and resource planning, and cross-functional collaboration. The Practice Manager III acts as a strategic liaison among providers, patients, departments, hospitals, and senior leadership to support high performance and sustainable growth. This role requires regular on-site presence to fulfill operational and leadership responsibilities. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or health care related field
  • 5+ years of management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Healthcare experience highly preferred
  • Experience in a surgical practice preferred
  • Excellent leadership, analytical and project management skills
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of the payor environment, patient service delivery systems and federal/state rules and regulations regarding billing processes

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all daily operations of practice to assure practice runs in an efficient cost-effective manner.
  • Available to troubleshoot, identify and resolve problems as they arise
  • Supervises office personnel to ensure appropriate staffing levels and assignments are met for efficient clinic operation
  • Meet with office staff and providers as needed to report practice and organizational activities, as well as receive feedback
  • Assist in developing strategic plans and objectives based upon identified needs of patients
  • Assists with the development of office operating budget and ensures office operates within budget
  • Reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, which include operating statements, accounts receivable aging, and various performance measures
  • Calculate annual provider bonuses in accordance with their contract
  • Provides direct supervision to internal personnel responsible for claims, credit and collections
  • Maintains established institutional policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, and safety, environmental and infection control standards
  • Ensures the resolution of and/or handles patient complaints or problems regarding patient care, and customer service
