With $50M raised to date, we’re scaling fast and expanding access to evidence-based obesity care nationwide. We’re looking for a Practice Lead to join our team and help launch a new knownwell clinic in Weymouth, MA. This unique role is designed for an experienced Medical Assistant who is ready to take on both clinical responsibilities and day-to-day operational leadership. You’ll split your time 50/50 between patient care and administrative/leadership tasks and serve as a key partner to the Market Practice Manager. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is a self-starter, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking to grow into a future Practice Manager role as the clinic scales. Requirements

  • A leadership mindset — you set the tone for clinical excellence through your own work, modeling best practices in efficiency, professionalism, and compassionate, inclusive care
  • Certified Medical Assistant with 3+ years of clinical experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfort navigating both clinical and operational challenges
  • Familiarity with EMRs (Athena experience preferred)
  • A patient-first mindset and commitment to inclusive, non-judgmental care
  • Ambition to grow into a Practice Manager or clinic leadership role

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a lead MA, trainer, or similar role is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Set the pace and lead by example in how clinical care is delivered — modeling efficiency, professionalism, and compassionate, weight-inclusive care for the rest of the team
  • Provide direct patient care including vitals, histories, triage, procedures, and support for virtual visits
  • Manage patient flow from check-in through discharge
  • Coordinate clinical follow-up, including referrals, prior authorizations, and lab/test result tracking
  • Maintain clean, well-stocked, and ready exam rooms
  • Support our weight-inclusive, affirming approach to care in every patient interaction
  • Serve as the go-to clinic team member on the ground, escalating issues and supporting real-time clinic needs
  • Partner closely with the Market Practice Manager on daily operations, staff coordination, and patient experience
  • Help onboard, support, and informally mentor other MAs as the team grows
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as inventory, scheduling, and performance tracking
  • Identify and help implement workflow/process improvements in collaboration with clinic leadership
  • Support clinic-wide communication and team alignment
