About The Position

Responsible for basic operational knowledge of all plant systems and perform operation of the equipment within specification and environmental regulations. This role will work under the direction of skilled Plant Technicians and is responsible for continuing to learn the proper function and perform maintenance of equipment at a Gas Plant for the Gas fleet. The technician is also responsible for promoting safe, effective, and reliable operation.

Requirements

• 2 -4 years of related experience
• Candidate must have the ability to report to site within 60 minutes following call-ins.
• Satisfactory completion of Tier 1 job performance measures composed of basic: Operations, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrument and Controls
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
• If applicable, candidate will hold the required level of state license as recognized by the governing body of that particular state (MA, OH)
• Demonstrate standard computer based skills
• Demonstrate effective oral & verbal communications skills
• If applicable, candidate must meet the requirement of PT1-E
• Must pass POSS/MASS exam to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assisting/performing troubleshooting of plant equipment, preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure proper functioning, daily maintenance, construction, demolition, overhauls, repair /replacement and removal/installation of plant equipment and structures.
• Provides skills for maintaining equipment at the plant
• Perform clearances in LOTOV under the direction of a senior operator or supervisor
• Utilizes/operates various types of hand, power, precision or machine tools necessary to support safe and productive work environments.
• Maintains a working knowledge of all electronic control systems and computers
• Understands and follows current safety and environmental regulations necessary to conduct all phases of work
• Ensures strict adherence to safety, health and environmental procedures as they relate to plant operations and maintenance including but not limited to Lockout Tagout, Job Safety Analysis, Confined Space, Hot Work, Electrical Safety and PPE
