About The Position

Responsible for basic operational knowledge of all plant systems and performing operation of the equipment within specification and environmental regulations, working under the direction of skilled Plant Technicians. This role involves continuing to learn the proper function and performing maintenance of equipment at a Gas Plant for the Gas fleet, promoting safe, effective, and reliable operation. Duties include assisting with and performing troubleshooting of plant equipment, preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure proper functioning, daily maintenance, construction, demolition, overhauls, repair/replacement, and removal/installation of plant equipment and structures. The technician will provide skills for maintaining equipment at the plant, perform clearances in LOTOV under the direction of a senior operator or supervisor, and utilize/operate various types of hand, power, precision, or machine tools to support safe and productive work environments. The role also requires maintaining a working knowledge of all electronic control systems and computers, understanding and following current safety and environmental regulations, and ensuring strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental procedures related to plant operations and maintenance, including Lockout Tagout, Job Safety Analysis, Confined Space, Hot Work, Electrical Safety, and PPE.

Requirements

• 2 -4 years of related experience
• Ability to report to site within 60 minutes following call-ins.
• Satisfactory completion of Tier 1 job performance measures composed of basic: Operations, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrument and Controls
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
• If applicable, candidate will hold the required level of state license as recognized by the governing body of that particular state (MA, OH)
• Demonstrate standard computer based skills
• Demonstrate effective oral & verbal communications skills
• If applicable, candidate must meet the requirement of PT1-E Must pass POSS/MASS exam to be considered.

Responsibilities
