About The Position

C.H. Robinson is seeking a Power Only Senior Program Manager to join our Truckload team. This is an exciting opportunity to impact the strategic development and growth of our Power Only program. You will focus on new development/production of programs, as well as managing and executing complex, strategic, business specific programs. You will partner closely with relevant stakeholders and departments to ensure all program commitments are met and are on schedule. If you have experience executing enterprise and global program initiatives, knowledge of best practices and trends, strong program/project management, and consulting skills, this role may be a good fit for you. You will play a critical role in driving long-term, scalable solutions through process improvement, and change management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 6 years of experience managing and executing business-related programs or projects
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in effective change management techniques and implementation
  • Ability to work flexible hours (some weekend/late hours may be required)
  • Ability to travel up to 15% (domestically)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Program Management certification
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
  • Prior work experience in a decentralized, multi-site, global organization
  • Program management and coordination experience, preferred experience in agile methodologies; with the proven ability to manage multiple programs/projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee one or more complex programs, with a regional, global and/or enterprise reach
  • Oversee end-to-end program activities: initiation, planning, issue/risk tracking, scope management, reporting, documentation, cost estimation, and relationship management to meet deliverables
  • Establish and coordinate program communication, providing regular updates to team members, stakeholders, and vendors as the primary point of contact for inquiries
  • Establish change plan(s) and act as a change agent while implementing programs
  • Create and drive effective change management strategies with all stakeholders (internal and external) to mitigate risk and ensure project success
  • Create a positive experience for all stakeholders involved in the program lifecycle through proactive planning and communication
  • Serve as the single point of contact and be accountable for all program related activities and requests
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with program team and stakeholders
  • Proactively partner with applicable stakeholders to execute a program implementation strategy with the intent of operationalizing programs
  • Oversee effective allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials and deliver programs on time within established business goals/objectives
  • Manage, track and report program financials (budgeted vs actual) for allocated resource hours and billings
  • Successfully transfer knowledge to other relevant internal teams as well as provide support as needed
  • Ensure programs are integrated across all applicable department strategies and proactively plan for future integration as new strategies are developed
  • Monitor and analyze metrics and feedback from program participants and stakeholders to recommend solutions for continuous improvement of the program experience
  • Develop solutions for improving our tools and processes across our suite of solutions to continuously improve the right experience
  • Create and implement processes across our suite of solutions, which includes documenting the process, defining roles and responsibilities, and following up on the execution of the process
  • Identify and manage risks and issues that may arise during the course of one or more programs. This includes developing contingency plans and working with stakeholders to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure program compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures, and monitor the program to maintain compliance
  • Provide subject matter guidance to program team
  • Lead cross-functional teams or programs with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity to ensure all program commitments are satisfied
