In the role of Power Intern, we'll count on you to: Tackle real-world experience on exciting power delivery projects Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs Apply standard electrical engineering techniques and procedures Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager Provide support for substation design projects under the direct supervision of an Engineer such as: Performing design on drawings relevant to the given project Assist with data entry Project filing required for project deliverables Perform other duties as needed The ideal candidate will commit up to 20 hours per week on-site, working alongside and receiving mentorship from a licensed engineer. This position does not offer remote work.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
  • Attention to detail
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical Engineering major with Power.
  • Prefer 3 years completed toward degree (Senior) with 3.0+ GPA
  • Candidate should have completed Basic Circuits Analysis and Electric Machines Course.
  • Candidate should have an inquisitive mind
  • Candidate should be interested in high voltage power system design and protection
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to the field of study/industry
  • Prefer candidate to be local to the Los Angeles County/Orange County Areas
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
