About The Position

The focus should be on the position and not the current incumbent. SUMMARY: Operate multiple pouch machines safely and efficiently while performing quality control audits of SFG pouches.

  • Schedules are subject to change based on business needs
  • Must be comfortable working on a tablet/computer

  • Must be able to adapt to a changing environment/schedule

Responsibilities

  • Starts up, operates, and shuts down pouch forming, cooling, sealing, straw strip placement, coding, and conveying systems of the pouch machine.
  • Makes packaging roll changes as needed.
  • Optimizes equipment uptime; monitors mechanical operation of equipment and unjams machines.
  • Helps troubleshoot mechanical problems and notifies technician of issues.
  • Supervises quality issues, performs and records checks on pouch visual points of quality.
  • Performs and records checks on seal alignment.
  • Ensure adequate quantities of accurate rotated foil stock (FIFO) are available and tested. Complete all required audits.
  • Document pouches material losses, downtime, and production totals; palletize finished boxes of pouches.
  • Maintains good housekeeping. Ensure “Area of Responsibility” is clean and orderly.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures completion of all DMS forms (ie. CIL, CLM, 5S, Defect handling, Shift hand-offs, Oscar boards, etc.)
  • Maintains room as a tour ready status.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
