About The Position

Uses hands, eyes, ears, legs, machines, materials, tools and equipment to set up and tear down machines, equipment, fixtures and work stations in manufacturing; and, assembles or machines parts and performs various tasks to ensure the safe and efficient production of quality products by performing the following duties, which are not intended to be all-inclusive.

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred; technical or vocational training/education at post-high school level is a plus.
  • Ability to learn equipment programming through on-the-job training as required in effectively operating tools, equipment and machinery; use data entry systems, record information software systems, the email system, and the bar-coding systems as required following on-the-job training.
  • Powered industrial truck operating certificate as required.

Nice To Haves

  • No prior experience necessary, but former manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ready packaging/containers for shipment, such as, but not limited to taping, sealing, stapling, banding and stretch-wrapping.
  • Prep containers for shipment with interior packaging (bubble wrap).
  • All skills and responsibilities of the Operator 1 classification.
  • Ability to operate CMM.
  • Load and set tooling.
  • Make sensor adjustments.
  • Remove and replace guards.
  • Reset Pallet Stops and RF Tags.
  • Tool Management including, but not limited to, tool settings and pre-setting.
  • Offsets
  • Understand the SPI process or other problem solving processes.
  • Analysis part rejects and machine inefficiencies.
  • Maintain PM completion log.
  • Pallet and fixture repairs including batteries.
  • Ability to use precision gauging.
  • Verify and/or fix Poke Yokes.
  • Ability to interpret and react to SPC charts.
  • Assist skilled trades.
  • Support TS-16949, BPS, CIP, etc.
  • Operate material handling equipment.
  • Observe all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures as directed by the Company.
