About The Position
JOB SUMMARY: It is the primary responsibility of the Pot Washer is to perform a variety of janitorial duties and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures Pot Washer Set-up and operate 3 compartment sink Clean kettles and tilt skillets Clean/Sanitize, sort, and store pots/pans/sheet pans in their proper locations on the shelves Receives soiled dinnerware, flatware, and glassware, placing items according to size and likeness on automatic dishwashing conveyor belt Removes washed dinnerware, flatware, and glassware from automatic dishwasher and stacks them according to size and likeness for future use Returns items not satisfactorily cleaned for a second wash Scrubs walls and trash cans Breakdown, load, unload, catches, and properly sorts all dishes, glassware and flatware as it is brought to the dish area Wash baseboards, floor drains, hand sinks, tables and cutting boards Sweep and mop all floors, coolers, freezers and wash all floor mats Transport garbage from kitchen areas to trash room Polish silver, copper and brass in all areas as needed Ensure that all operations follow health, safety and OSHA regulations Perform all other job related duties as requested
Requirements
- Working knowledge of all cleaning equipment and proper chemical usage
- Excellent customer service skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- A highly motivated and energetic personality
- Ability to operate dish machine
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of related kitchen experience
- Previous experience in a similar resort setting
- 18 years of age
- SNHD Food Handlers Card required
Responsibilities
- Set-up and operate 3 compartment sink
- Clean kettles and tilt skillets
