The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking applicants for a two-year post-doctoral Research Fellowship in Cancer Prevention and Control with a focus on priority populations. This multi-disciplinary training program aims to prepare a cadre of highly-trained scientists who will be dedicated to advancing cancer prevention and control in populations who are disproportionately vulnerable to developing and suffering from cancer. Launched in 2018, the training program recruits two new post-doctoral scholars each academic year. Over 25 faculty researchers and a large team of research staff support the efforts and learning of trainees. All fellows will conduct mentored research and will be eligible to earn an MPH, MS, or PhD in research. Stipend and tuition are provided along with an allowance for travel and research expenses. Research foci include behavioral medicine, health psychology, mind-body and integrative interventions, cancer prevention and screening, health disparities, comparative effectiveness, genetics, cancer education, molecular epidemiology, symptom control, palliative care, and more. This fellowship is being offered jointly through the Center for Behavioral Oncology, the Division of General Internal Medicine, and the Tisch Cancer Institute at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
