About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join an NIH-funded research program in cancer immunology. This project uses patient-derived tumor organoid co-culture systems to define mechanisms of resistance to chemoimmunotherapy in intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma and identify strategies to improve patient responses. The successful candidate will execute studies integrating functional immunology and organoid modeling and collaborate with the clinical and computational scientists to investigate tumor–immune interactions and therapeutic responses.

Requirements

  • PhD or equivalent in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field
  • Strong background in immunology or cell biology
  • Expertise in tumor-derived organoids, high-dimensional flow cytometry or both is required
  • Experience with flow cytometry, primary cell culture, or molecular biology
  • Demonstrated research productivity

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in cancer immunology or T cell biology
  • Familiarity with organoid or co-culture systems
  • Experience with omics approaches, GraphPad, FlowJo
  • Computational skills (R or Python) are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Process patient-derived tumor material for organoid generation
  • Optimize experiments involving human T cells and tumor organoid co-cultures
  • Conduct microscopy, flow cytometry and molecular assays
  • Analyze and interpret complex datasets
  • Prepare manuscripts and present findings
  • Contribute to collaborative and interdisciplinary projects
