About The Position

POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, McGovern Institute, (two openings) to conduct interdisiplinary research on the relationship between neural circuit structure and function. This role involves developing computational models, connectome analyses, and theoretical approaches using published and ongoing neuroscience datasets. The associates will collaborate with neuroscientists and computer scientists to advance understanding of neural coding and circuit dynamics while contributing to publications, presentations, and mentorship within a highly collaborative research environment. Requirements

  • A PhD in neuroscience, computer science, or a related field
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • attention to detail
  • excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, documentation, communication, and time-management skills
  • self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • ability to work as part of a tightly-knit team

Nice To Haves

  • experience with using and building machine learning models
  • developing and validating computational analysis workflows
  • developing circuit models is preferred
