Job Title Postal Data Analyst About your role: As a Postal Data Analyst, you will support postal operations by analyzing USPS-related data, reconciling postage activity, and executing daily production procedures. You will work closely with operations, finance, and technology partners to ensure accurate postal usage, optimize costs, and support data-driven decision-making. Your work will help us maintain compliant, efficient, and cost-effective mail operations for our clients. What you'll do: Execute daily USPS-related procedures with accuracy and timeliness, including postage reporting and reconciliation activities. Handle small projects involving postage systems, postal reconciliation, and process documentation from planning through completion. Pull, analyze, and interpret postal and operational data to support operational and strategic decisions. Analyze business models and mailing scenarios to determine required effort, return on investment (ROI), and market or competitive comparisons. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, data quality, and control effectiveness. Document business and technical requirements clearly and concisely, including decision criteria, assumptions, and acceptance measures. Apply fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in postal operations and business analysis to achieve defined results and support compliance with USPS requirements. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis.
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing data sets and business models to assess ROI, efficiency, and process performance in an operations or production environment.
  • 3+ years of experience identifying and implementing process improvements in a production, fulfillment, or mailing operation.
  • Experience using data analysis and reporting tools (for example, Excel, SQL, or similar tools) to extract, transform, and summarize operational data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience documenting requirements, process flows, and procedures for cross-functional audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Operations Management, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with postage accounting, reconciliation, and postal reporting for high-volume mail environments.
  • Experience in postal data analysis, postal operations, or a related business analysis function using USPS or similar postal systems and tools.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of USPS terms, mailing classes, and core postal processes and systems in a production or fulfillment setting.
  • Experience working with cross-functional operations, finance, and technology teams supporting large-scale production or mailing operations.
