About The Position

The Florida Panthers enter the 2025-26 season as the two-time defending Stanley Cup Champions, having gone to the Stanley Cup Final in each of the past three seasons. Job Summary The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and restoring hard surface and carpeted flooring throughout the Stadium and/or Arena. This role supports a safe, sanitary, and visually appealing environment for guests, staff, and event personnel. The Floor Technician operates specialized cleaning equipment and follows established safety protocols while performing preventative and restorative floor care services.

Requirements

  • Prior custodial or housekeeping experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Floor Maintenance: Perform routine and advanced floor care services, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, sealing, and refinishing hard surface flooring.
  • Carpet Care: Clean and maintain carpeted areas using professional methods such as shampooing, hot water extraction, bonnet cleaning, and spot treatment.
  • Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Safely operate, clean, and maintain industrial floor care equipment, including auto scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, extractors, and other related machinery.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to OSHA standards and organizational safety policies. Properly handle and store chemicals, utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and place safety signage (e.g., “Wet Floor” signs) to ensure a secure environment.
  • Facility Upkeep: Maintain high cleanliness standards in corridors, lobbies, seating bowl areas, public restrooms, suites, offices, and exterior perimeter entrances, including concrete flooring.
  • Project Scheduling: Follow an established Annual, Quarterly, Monthly, Weekly, and Daily project calendar to ensure consistent preventative maintenance and adherence to the Arena’s cyclical floor care program.
