Job Summary The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and restoring hard surface and carpeted flooring throughout the Stadium and/or Arena. This role supports a safe, sanitary, and visually appealing environment for guests, staff, and event personnel. The Floor Technician operates specialized cleaning equipment and follows established safety protocols while performing preventative and restorative floor care services.

• Prior custodial or housekeeping experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Floor Maintenance: Perform routine and advanced floor care services, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, sealing, and refinishing hard surface flooring.
• Carpet Care: Clean and maintain carpeted areas using professional methods such as shampooing, hot water extraction, bonnet cleaning, and spot treatment.
• Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Safely operate, clean, and maintain industrial floor care equipment, including auto scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, extractors, and other related machinery.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to OSHA standards and organizational safety policies. Properly handle and store chemicals, utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and place safety signage (e.g., “Wet Floor” signs) to ensure a secure environment.
• Facility Upkeep: Maintain high cleanliness standards in corridors, lobbies, seating bowl areas, public restrooms, suites, offices, and exterior perimeter entrances, including concrete flooring.
• Project Scheduling: Follow an established Annual, Quarterly, Monthly, Weekly, and Daily project calendar to ensure consistent preventative maintenance and adherence to the Arena’s cyclical floor care program.
