About The Position

The GMP Floor Technician at C&W Services is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and floor care in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulated facility. This role performs specialized floor maintenance tasks such as buffing, waxing, and stripping to ensure compliance with GMP standards. When floor care services are not required, the technician will support standard commercial route cleaning duties to maintain overall facility cleanliness. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and compliance protocols, and flexibility to support multiple cleaning functions.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in floor care maintenance (buffing, waxing, stripping) required.
  • Experience working in a GMP, pharmaceutical, biotech, food manufacturing, or cleanroom environment strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of proper floor care techniques, equipment, and chemical usage.
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions, including SOPs and safety guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and operate floor care equipment for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to (specify weight, e.g., 40–50 lbs).
  • Willingness to cross-train and perform general cleaning duties as needed.
  • Reliable attendance and flexibility to adjust tasks based on facility needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform GMP-compliant floor care services, including stripping, waxing, sealing, burnishing, and buffing of hard surface floors.
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of floors in manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse, and support areas in accordance with GMP guidelines.
  • Properly use, handle, and store cleaning chemicals and equipment in compliance with GMP, OSHA, and company safety standards.
  • Complete required GMP documentation, logs, and checklists accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow all site-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and contamination control practices.
  • When floor care services are not scheduled, perform standard commercial route cleaning duties, including: Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors Emptying trash and recycling Cleaning restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common areas Dusting and wiping surfaces
  • Inspect work areas for cleanliness and report maintenance or safety concerns to supervision.
  • Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews as needed.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service to site personnel.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
