About The Position

The Winfree lab is looking for a PhD-level researcher to supervise 2-5 field and laboratory technicians and run the logistics of a large USDA -funded field research project focused on forestry and native bee species in New England. The goal of the funded project is to determine how northeastern forests can be managed to support spring fruit crop pollinators and other bee species that use forests. This position would facilitate data collection and coordinate bee sampling across 5 states in New England. Following data collection, the researcher would lead data curation and analysis, including the processing of bee and pollen specimens from field projects. Specialized expertise in pollen metabarcoding and bee taxonomy is required.
