About The Position
The Department of Medicine, Aging Institute, is hiring a postdoctoral associate. The candidate will work on understanding the role of lysosomal function in inflammation and cardiovascular disease. This position requires advanced knowledge of various cell and molecular biological techniques. Experience in organelle biology, genetic screens, and/or cardiovascular physiology would be beneficial. This position is supported by a grant from the American Heart Association Strategic Focused Research Network (SFRN), and the recipient will be expected to present their results at semi-annual meetings of this network. The successful candidate will hold a recently awarded PhD in a science-related field or an MD.

Responsibilities
- Organizing, implementing, and analyzing data collected from experiments involving live human cells, explanted animal tissue, and in vivo live animal studies
- Development of research methodology and animal protocols
- Writing reports that contain descriptive, analytical, and evaluative content.
