The Department of Neurobiology at the University of Pittsburgh invite applications for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to establish in vivo spine imaging approaches in cortex. At the same time, mice are engaged in learning tasks while tracking changes in spines in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease models. The successful candidate is expected to take on an active role in carrying out ongoing research projects and to develop independent projects relevant to imaging spines in vivo in mice. S/he will regularly interact with the growing community of neuroscience researchers at both Pitt and Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), including researchers affiliated with organizations such as the Center for Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh (CNUP) and the Center for the Neural Basis of Cognition (CNBC). Postdocs can thus interact with numerous labs sharing similar research interests, and participate in neuroscience seminars, retreats, etc.
